Action Powder Shoot Sessions

One of our FAVORITE Photo sessions is the Action Powder Shoot Sessions! We LOVE photographing them. Below you will find the answers to your questions about the sessions. If you dont find you answer feel free to reach out!

PRICES - WHAT IS INCLUDED

Basic Powder Shoot Sessions start at $150. Single color powder. Additional Colors start at $10
Weave Pole Powder Shoot Sessions start at $175 for Single color. Additional Colors start at $10
With each session we will repeat the process a few times. We will ensure we got the shots we need! We will edit up to 3 photos. These photos will be uploaded for you to DOWNLOAD DIGITALLY. You will receive full DIGITAL Rights to those photos. You can print the photos yourself or order prints and canvas prints from our website.

LOCATIONS AND DATES
We are located in South Texas, Victoria. We can schedule shoots anytime at our location. We also sometimes have shoots scheduled in Aransas Pass and San Marcos Texas. We are booking locations now for 2024. Do you want to host a powder shoot at your location? We require a minimum of 10 dogs. The location needs to have complete shade and for safety should be fenced in. Dogs will be off leash during the shoot. If Interested in hosting a powder shoot send us an email.

POWDER SAFETY
The Powder we used is made with food grade and cosmetic grade ingredients. Holi powder is made from Cornstarch and natural dyes. It has been certified in the USA and tested/certified as FDA approved and non-dust explosive by OSHA. Just as the color powder shouldn’t be consumed, they’re also not meant to be inhaled in large quantities. We always have the dog running away from the powder and we instruct you to call your dog out of the cloud.

CLEAN-UP
Sometimes the dogs will get stained for a short time. When your session is over keep your dog dry. Use a blow dryer (when available) and blow as much out of the dogs coat as possible. It is important to try and get as much loose powder out before bathing your dog. Most of the time the color will then wash out. You are going to be dirty and colorful after your session also! It washes off!

DOG ABILITY
Dogs "should" to be able to stand and wait (somewhat patiently) while the powder is being applied. The Holder will hold the dog and you will call the dog over the jump. The jump is set at different heights but the higher your dog can jump the better. But if your dog is old or can't jump big heightes that is ok. As long as they can jump elbow high we can make it work. We have other ways to get an awesome photo so reach out to discuss any concerns. Before powder is applied we will do mulitple test shots without the powder and then we apply powder once we have it how you want it. For the Weave pole sessions your dog must have a strong independent weave. We will work with you and your dog to get the best shot! Please practice having your dog sit and wait and calling them over a jump. This behavior will ensure we get those awesome photos you are wanting!
